Clove is one of the mostly used species in Indian kitchen from ages. In Ayurveda it is also called Devakusuma i.e. flower of Deities. Interesting fact about clove is that it is hot to taste but it is cooling and soothing to stomach.From the ayurvedic perspective this herb has the great medicinal importance for the treatment of various ailments.
A pyramicidal or conical evergreen tree upto 12 m high. Leaves simple, lanceolate, in pairs, 7-13 cm in length and 2-4 cm in breadth, gland dotted, fragrant.
